Position Scope:
This position is for an IT Business Systems Analyst with experience in: Oracle Business Suite, Manufacturing and IT, Manufacturing Industry knowledge and compliance and high tech manufacturing business processes.
The Business Analyst is responsible for working closely with the Manufacturing, Quality and Costing business teams at various client's locations. Daily interaction is required with end-users to structure business requirements, external design elements, and analytical instruments so that they are usable inputs for application/systems design or selection. The analyst structures and codifies often anecdotal and naïve business process descriptions into competent engineering requirement specifications. Experience with Oracles e-business suite is required.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for the implementation and support of the Oracle E-Business Suite including areas such as Manufacturing, Cost Management, Quality. He/she will be responsible for building, supporting and maintaining all interfaces to and from Oracle E-Business Suite as well. This position will work closely with the IT department on various Oracle Application enhancements and projects and will represent the functional needs of all department/areas related to Manufacturing, Costing and Quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Translate business requirements into reporting solutions
- Work directly with the users to analyze, create and support business solutions
- Assist with the support and ongoing enhancement of the Oracle E-Business Suite
- Works on complex solutions where strong data analysis and evaluation of business cases is required
- Write and maintain technical documentation to describe requirements, logic, testing, changes, and corrections
- Test and verify data solutions, mapping and data definitions
- Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting reports by responding to inquiries and questions
- Some travel required, generally less than 10%
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- 5+ years as a Business/Functional Analyst in Manufacturing/Costing functional areas.
- Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) R12 required
- Experience with the following modules of EBS: Manufacturing, Quality
- Have performed as a liaison between business teams and IT
- Work in a self-directed mode
- Ability to coordinate tasks amongst a small team
- Facilitate and lead meetings with all levels of internal and external personnel
- Ability to negotiate solutions across functions
- Communicate articulately with business and technical personnel
- Create clear, complete and concise documents and analytical instruments
- Commonly accepted business processes and practice found in the High tech industry and/or preferably the Printed Circuit Board industry
- Managing the interview process with business people such that complete and relevant information is captured.
Preferred Skills:
- 2 years of Project Manager experience
- 2-3 new Oracle implementations
- SQL, and Oracle DB knowledge
- Experience working in a global team
- Experience with other Oracle EBS modules
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, or equivalent experience
- Preference given to Oracle Certified candidates
