Client wanted to migrate their Oracle applications (Oracle EBS, OBIEE, Hyperion, Golden Gate, etc.) infrastructure from Oracle managed Cloud services to Oracle Public Cloud(OCI) to save money, improve security and stability. Client being a global company, downtime tolerance was limited. Migration had to be completed with the minimum interruption to business and without any data loss. There were not many tools available in the industry that could help them with this migration and reconcile the data.

Our Solution

Buxton partnered with Oracle’s OCI team and planned, architected, and developed a custom migration tool and migrated data with minimum disruption to business and with no data loss. This size of project had never been previously successfully completed.

Business Impact

Buxton team was able to migrate the e-mail hosting application and its corresponding infrastructure with minimal down time. Customer enjoyed no data loss, enhanced security and better system performance. They also have realized substantial savings.
