Role: Salesforce Data Migration Consultant

Strat date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-Time Employee (FTE)

Shift Coverage: 12 p.m. PST

Job Description:

We are looking for a Salesforce Data Migration Consultant with hands-on experience in migrating Salesforce data from one Salesforce Org to another as well as migrating data from other CRM platforms into Salesforce. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) methodologies, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end Salesforce data migration from one Org to another.
• Lead data migration projects from external CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Siebel, Zoho, etc.) into Salesforce.
• Assess, clean, and transform data before migration, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Utilize ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, MuleSoft, Jitterbit, Dataloader.io, etc.) to facilitate migration.
• Work with Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Business Teams to align migration strategy with business needs.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies and ensure successful data validation post-migration.
• Provide best practices and recommendations on Salesforce data architecture and optimization.
• Document processes, develop migration templates, and provide training/support post-migration.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in at least two major Salesforce data migration projects (with references).
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Data Model, Objects, and Relationships.
• Expertise in ETL tools for data migration.
• Experience working with Salesforce APIs (Bulk API, SOAP, REST) for data integration.
• Familiarity with Salesforce security models, data deduplication, and validation rules.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – ability to interact with stakeholders and provide clear recommendations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues efficiently.
• Salesforce certifications (such as Salesforce Data Architecture & Management Designer) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale data migration projects involving millions of records.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with data governance policies and ensuring GDPR/CCPA compliance during migration.
