Job Title: Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance – Managed Services & SOX Compliance Lead
(Oracle Fusion Financials / IT Controls / Change Management)

Location: India - Remote (West Coast coverage)

Role Overview

Buxton is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance Managed Services Lead to support a biotech client operating in a lean IT environment following ERP go-live. This role is crucial in ensuring SOX-compliant operations, audit readiness, and stable day-to-day Oracle Fusion support as the client transitions from a large SI-led model (Deloitte) to a managed services structure.

This role is not an implementation role. Instead, it focuses on operational stability, compliance, governance, and process maturity across Oracle Fusion Finance and the surrounding IT ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on Oracle Fusion Finance support, strong SOX / IT controls experience, and the ability to build and operationalize IT processes for a growing biotech organization.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Fusion Finance Support (L2/L3)

• Provide ongoing functional and techno-functional support for Oracle Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Expenses, etc.)
• Handle incident management, service requests, and problem resolution within defined SLAs
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities as required
• Assist with configuration changes, minor enhancements, and data corrections

SOX, Audit & Compliance Support

• Own and support SOX-compliant IT General Controls (ITGC) related to Oracle Fusion
• Provide audit evidence for:
  • User access provisioning/deprovisioning
  • Role design and segregation of duties
  • Change management and approvals
  • Quarterly Oracle updates and regression testing
• Meet strict audit response timelines and documentation standards
• Partner with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and compliance teams

Change Management & ITSM

• Build and operationalize change management processes aligned to SOX
• Work with ITSM tools (e.g., SolarWinds Service Desk, ServiceNow, or similar) to:
  • Manage change requests, approvals, and deployments
  • Track incidents, problems, and enhancements
• Support quarterly Oracle patching cycles:
  • Impact analysis
  • Regression testing coordination
  • Production deployment approvals
  • Post-release validation

Integrations & Ecosystem Support

• Support Oracle Fusion integrations using OIC, REST, FBDI, BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View, etc.
• Coordinate with technical teams on upstream/downstream systems and third-party applications
• Assist with reporting, data loads, validations, and reconciliation activities

Governance & Managed Services Operations

• Participate in SLA tracking, ticket metrics, and monthly performance reviews
• Contribute to status reporting, operational dashboards, and service reviews
• Support transition activities from Deloitte to Buxton, including knowledge transfer
• Help establish a Center of Excellence mindset for Oracle operations and compliance

Required Experience

Core Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting Oracle Financials (Cloud strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR at minimum)
• Strong understanding of SOX compliance, ITGCs, and audit support
• Experience supporting Oracle quarterly updates and regression testing
• Background in post–go-live support, managed services, or application operations

Technical & Functional Skills

• Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance
• OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View
• OIC / REST / FBDI integrations
• ITSM / ticketing tools (ServiceNow, SolarWinds, or similar)
• Data loads, reconciliations, and production support activities

Soft Skills & Operating Style

• Comfortable working in lean IT environments
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Calm under audit pressure and tight deadlines
• Experience working alongside large SIs (e.g., Deloitte)

Nice to Have

• Experience in biotech, life sciences, or regulated industries
• Prior managed services or AMS leadership experience
• Exposure to global operations or multi-entity finance environments
• Familiarity with ServiceNow change management workflows
