ERP Functional Consultant (Family Office Specialist)
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
ERP Functional Consultant to lead a comprehensive system assessment and selection process for a large Family Office. The successful candidate will evaluate the current financial ecosystem, including a potential "re-implementation" of QuickBooks or migrations to mid-market/enterprise solutions like NetSuite, to ensure the technology stack supports complex entity management, investment tracking, and streamlined reporting.
This is a US Remote role, some minimal travel to the Bay Area may be required during the project.
Key Responsibilities- Business Process Mapping: Audit current financial workflows, including bill pay, intercompany reconciliations, and consolidated reporting across multiple legal entities.
- Requirements Gathering: Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders to define functional requirements that may be unique to this Family Office (e.g., K-1 tracking, multi-asset class reporting, private equity accounting).
- Gap Analysis: Compare current state capabilities (QuickBooks) against future state needs.
- Vendor Evaluation: Support the evaluation/RFP process, coordinate demos, and provide a data-driven recommendation on software selection.
- Build an Implementation Roadmap: Develop a phased project plan, including data migration strategy, third-party integrations, and risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications- Family Office Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of experience working with or consulting for Single/Multi-Family Offices or HNW Private Wealth firms.
- ERP Proficiency: Deep functional knowledge of NetSuite (specifically OneWorld for multi-entity) and QuickBooks Enterprise. Understanding of start-ups in this space such as Asseta AI. Familiarity with other niche family office software (e.g., SEI Archway, Addepar) is a significant plus.
- Accounting Fluency: Solid understanding of GAAP, intercompany eliminations, and complex tax structures.
- Strategic Advisory: Proven track record of leading and/or materially contributing to software selections and full-lifecycle implementations.
